Alan WeisAlan F. Weis, 63, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on March 7, 2015, at home in Genesee, Idaho, surrounded by his children. Alan was the oldest of three sons born to Harold and Marian Weis, he was born on June 16, 1951, in Walla Walla Washington. As a young boy, his family moved to Lake Cle Elum. He graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1969Alan worked at his family's communications company in Roslyn, Washington, and later in Uniontown, Washington until retiring to pursue his love of hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his boat the best, taking his boys to Alaska and spending time outdoors. Life was always an adventure when he was around!He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Marian Weis; his children, Krista Gottula (James), Kennewick, Alan "Spike" Weis (Whitney) of Genesee Idaho and Ryan Weis of Lewiston Idaho; grandchildren Kristapher Gottula, Alexis Gottula, Kayson Finborg, Silas Weis; and great granddaughter Ashton Gottula. As well as brothers Douglas Weis (Susie) and Nathan Weis (Lisa); numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. A viewing will be held Friday, March 13, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and memorial service on Saturday, March 14, 2015, 2:00pm, at Vassar-Rawls funeral home in Lewiston Idaho. We would also like to thank everyone who called and visited him, he was surrounded in love and joyous memories making his final days so very blessed.
