Learning to embrace her disability

She was born with hemiplegia because of her twin sister Leah. She lived her life as a lesser version of her sister. She moved to the Congo because her father was a Baptist minister and wanted to convert the people of Congo to Christianity. During this time, one of her younger sister die. She then leaves the Congo in a difficult journey. Her father also dies in the Congo. She then leaves with her mother back to Georgia. Rachel and Leah stayed in Africa for the rest of their life. She studied viruses and became a doctor. She started to view her disability more as a gift.
