Howard Hart, 70, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 11:33 a.m.on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on Sunday, March 02, 1947, in Flemingsburg, KY.  He married Evelyn "Jane" (Harter) Hart on Friday, July 03, 1987 at the United Brethren Methodist Church, Hartford City, IN.  Howard served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He fought in the Vietnam War. He attended the Hartford City Wesleyan Church. He had worked for Indiana Bridge, Muncie, IN, Marhofers, 3M for 14 years, and Gripco for 14 years. Howard enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports, especially "Da Bears" & Reds.Loving survivors include, mother, Opal (Crump) Hart, Muncie, IN; wife, Evelyn "Jane" (Harter) Hart, Hartford City, IN; sons, Jeff (Sara) Speidel, Hartford City, IN, Chad (Kimberly) Speidel, Hartford City, IN, and Allen (Megan) Speidel, Hartford City, IN; daughters, Drendra and Sharon; brothers, Irvin Hart, Long Beach, CA, Thomas Hart, Frankton, IN, Philip Hart, Muncie, IN, and Walter Hart, Marion, IN; grandchildren, Caleb Speidel, Bryan Speidel, Justin Speidel, Dylan Speidel, Ethan Speidel, Katy Speidel, Tanner Hendricks, Tryse Hendricks, Levi Lytle, Lauriah Lytle, Jordan Daily, Jamie Twibell, Jared Twibell, Jaycee Twibell, Abby Speidel, and Adrianna Sowards; several nieces & nephews; and 7 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hart; daughter, Rhea Speidel; and grandson, Cansas Speidel.Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service at the church.A service to celebrate Howard's life will be at the Hartford City Wesleyan Church, 1301 S. Walnut St. Hartford City at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 with the Pastor Tom Parsons officiating.
